The collections of the Wagner-de Wit Foundation and Bonhomme-Tielens Foundation were very broad, both stylistically as in terms of types of objects. Thanks to the objects on loan and the purchases the focus of the collection was put on the city of Maastricht and the surrounding Euregion. In the old situation the focus laid mainly on the second part of the 18th century. In temporary exhibitions it was then possible to show other historical periods.
